Complete a Certificate III in Urban Pest Management over 24 months through formal training with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and practical on-the-job experience with your Host Employer, OzPest Solutions.

 

Throughout your formal training and practical experience in the workplace, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Visit client locations to inspect for signs of pests (insects, rodents, etc.).
  • Identify the type of pests, their entry points, and the extent of infestation.
  • Document findings and create a customized treatment plan. Maintain accurate records of treatments performed. Document pesticide usage, safety precautions, and any adverse reactions.
  • Apply appropriate pesticides and utilize integrated pest management practices to eliminate pests.
  • Set traps, baits, or barriers to prevent further infestations.
  • Educate clients on preventive measures (e.g., proper food storage, waste management).

 

To be successful in this role, you'll need to meet the following selection criteria:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Empathy and understanding
  • Adaptability and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Knowledge of pest control products and services
  • Ability to pass National Criminal Police Check and obtain Working With Children Check
  • Current White Card or willingness to obtain prior
  • P1 Drivers Licence or above
