About these opportunities

You will complete a Certificate III in Hospitality over 24 months through a combination of formal training with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and practical on-the-job experience with your Host Employer, Smokin Hot N Saucy Barbecue.

Throughout your formal training and practical experience in the workplace, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of chefs or cooks.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
  • Organize and store ingredients and kitchen supplies properly.
  • Assist in receiving and storing food deliveries.
  • Follow proper food handling and safety procedures at all times.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following capabilities and knowledge:

  • Commitment to both on and off the job training
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated interest and passion for the hospitality industry
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop new skills and knowledge
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a busy environment
  • Ability to work in a team environment and positively contribute to team goals
  • NSW Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Working with Children's Check (or willingness to obtain)
